Keenan Allen has said that he still has a lot to work on after making his NFL debut.
The wide receiver took two receptions for the San Diego Chargers during their loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, recording 13 receiving yards.
In his blog for the Chargers' website, the 21-year-old said: "Overall I think I did OK. There were a lot of good things I did but I know I have a lot to get better on. That's why it felt good to be back on the practice field [yesterday].
"I was able to work on the details I need to get better on and work on my conditioning. I want to be technically sound. [Wide receivers'] coach [Fred] Graves is really helping me with that. He's very detail oriented and wants us to do everything right. He's a perfectionist like me so that's why I like him.
"I worked so hard my entire life so I feel like I earned and deserved it. Right before I ran out of the tunnel I had a lot of emotions. I was excited mainly though."
The Chargers selected Allen in the third round of this year's draft.
