San Diego Chargers have reportedly taken up the option on the contract of defensive end Corey Liuget to keep the player at the club for a fifth year.
The Chargers have until May 3 to activate the clause, but according to CBS Sports, they have picked up the option of a fifth year for the player drafted in 2011.
Liuget, who was picked as the 18th overall selection in the 2011 Draft, has made 122 total tackles during his career with the club as well as 13.5 sacks.
The final year of Liuget's contract, which will be 2015, will cost the Chargers £4.1m.
