San Diego Chargers cornerback Shareece Wright has promised that he will learn from the mistakes he made in his first season as a regular and will be a better player in 2014.
Wright said that he would aim to hold on to the ball more next season in order to make more interceptions and limit the number of missed opportunities he is now looking back on.
"I learned a lot about myself last year, and there was a lot I liked and a lot I need to improve on," he told the club's official website. "I had a lot of opportunities to capitalise on plays and I didn't.
"I need to make sure I make those plays count. Anytime I can get my hands on a ball I need to make sure I come up with the interception. There were some humbling situations for me, and I'm motivated to capitalise on more plays that I may have missed out on."
Wright started 13 games last season, having made 17 appearances as a replacement in the two years prior to it.
