A fine showing of field-goal kicking from Nick Novak has helped the San Diego Chargers claim a 26-13 win over the Oakland Raiders in the sides' NFL encounter.
Novak scored the game's only points in the first quarter when he produced a field goal from 27 yards out to put the Chargers three ahead.
However, Darren McFadden responded for the Raiders with a five-yard run in the second quarter, before Ryan Mathews replied for the hosts with his own seven-yard run for the touchdown.
The Raiders were able to pull themselves level before the break, thanks to a 20-yard field goal from Sebastian Janikowski late in the second quarter, leaving the score tied at 10-10 going into half time.
After the break, the Chargers pushed ahead thanks to Keenan Allen, who caught a four-yard pass from Philip Rivers for the touchdown, while Novak kicked an impressive 48-yard field goal to leave San Diego 20-10 ahead at the end of the third.
Novak sealed the victory in the final quarter having notched another two field goals from 28 and 33 yards, with Janikowski adding a mere consolation of three points for the Raiders following a 42-yard kick.
