San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke has admitted that he wants quarterback Colin Kaepernick's contract extension sorted before the start of training camp.
The 26-year-old is entering the final year of his rookie deal signed in 2011, and he reportedly is demanding a contract in the region of $18m (£10.8m) a year.
"We're going to work extremely hard, very diligently in trying to get something done prior to training camp. That's the objective right now, as it stands," Baalke told CSNBayArea.com.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh revealed that Kaepernick's deal is the club's main priority for the off-season.
