San Francisco 49ers guard/centre Daniel Kilgore has agreed terms on a three-year contract extension, the club have confirmed.
Drafted as a guard in 2011, Kilgore has been tipped by some to become the 49ers' starting centre from 2014 onwards, with general manager Trent Baalke happy to have secured the player for the future years.
"We are pleased to extend the contract of a talented, young player like Dan," Baalke told the club's official website.
"This move is another example of our philosophy to extend the contracts of our own young players."
Kilgore played all 16 regular season games in both 2012 and 2013.
