The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers each have had eight players included in this year's Pro Bowl roster.

Running back Frank Gore, tight end Vernon Davis and linebacker Patrick Willis are among those included from the NFC West team.

The majority of the Chiefs' representatives come from their defense, while running back Jamaal Charles and tackle Branden Albert also earn call-ups.

The annual All-Star game will take on a new format this year, with a Draft taking place next month to decide the two teams after the AFC against NFC format was scrapped.
