The Seattle Seahawks cruise to comfortable win over the New York Giants in their NFL clash at MetLife Stadium.

The Seattle Seahawks dominated the New York Giants in their NFL clash as they won by 23 points and shut down the home side at MetLife Stadium.

The Seahawks started the game slowly as both sides exchanged possession with early punts but Russell Wilson soon moved his side downfield. However, they were forced to settle for a field goal as Steven Hauschka fired a 49-yard effort through the posts.

New York tried to respond and Eli Manning hit a on a few completions before he tried to find Victor Cruz. However, he was intercepted by Byron Maxwell, who made the pick at the Seattle 35, but was knocked backwards to prevent any yards gained.

In the second quarter the Seahawks got their first touchdown of the game as Wilson drove them downfield and then handed the ball off to Marshawn Lynch, who powered into the endzone for a two-yard score running through six tackles.

Hauschka added another field goal just before the break to hand them a 13-point lead.

After half time the Seahawks added another field goal through the boot of Hauschka, as Wilson was kept out of the endzone by the Giants defense and the kicker made no mistake from 24 yards.

However, Wilson did get his touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter when he fired deep down the seam for receiver Doug Baldwin, who made the grab for the 12-yard touchdown to seal the win for his side.
