Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor has revealed that his side were able to read quarterback Peyton Manning during Sunday's Super Bowl.

Manning was nowhere near as effective as he had been all season for the Denver Broncos during the match, with Seattle's defence only allowing one score in a resounding 43-8 victory.

Chancellor acknowledged that five-time NFL MVP was a "great" player, but hinted that his eye movements gave away what he was planning to do.

"We were able to jump a few routes. Just see everything that develops in front of you, playing off of Peyton's eyes. He takes you right to the ball every time," Chancellor told The Star-Ledger.

"He's a great quarterback, but he definitely has tendencies and he takes you to the ball."

Chancellor's teammate Richard Sherman also revealed that his side had figured out Manning's plays, allowing them to counteract him during the match.
