Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner feels that his side's defense set the tone of the Super Bowl on the Denver Broncos' first passing play of the game.
The Seahawks already held a 5-0 lead after the Broncos had conceded a safety then a field goal when Peyton Manning's first pass of the game was complete to Demaryius Thomas, but he was floored from a big hit from Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor.
"You can tell they really wanted to run crossing routes, but on the first one they met Kam Chancellor," Wagner told reporters.
Seattle held the Broncos to their lowest points tally of the season as they cruised to their first Vince Lombardi Trophy win.
