The St Louis Rams have announced that Max Starks has agreed a one-year contract with the team.
The offensive tackle spent the pre-season with the San Diego Chargers, but was released by the AFC West side last month.
Head coach Jeff Fisher told the Rams' website: "Max is an experienced tackle who has had a lot of plays in this league. We brought him in for a workout and we really liked his workout.
"He's been working very hard since he was released and you can't have enough experience on your offensive line. We'll get him ready to play in different packages and ready to back up if we need him."
To make room for Starks on their roster, the Rams released safety Quinton Pointer.
