The St Louis Rams have agreed to a one-year contract with free-agent defensive tackle and former Detroit Lions star Nick Fairley.
Fairley attended a team press conference on Friday held to introduce recently-acquired quarterback Nick Foles.
The 27-year-old was a first-round Draft pick for the Lions back in 2011, selected with the number 13 pick overall.
However, after an inconsistent spell in Detroit, the franchise opted to decline a fifth-year option on his contract which released him into free agency.
Fairley played 46 games in total for the Lions, recording 98 tackles, 13.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
