The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on course for their second win of the season, having taken a 10-9 lead into the halfway stage of their match against the Cleveland Browns.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have taken a narrow 10-9 lead into half time of their match against the Cleveland Browns this evening, putting them on course for just their second win of the season.

The Browns opened the scoring with just under six minutes remaining in the first quarter as Billy Cundiff slotted over a 49-yard field goal.

Tampa Bay then gifted the ball back to the Browns at the very end of the first quarter, with Joe Haden tipping Mike Glennon's pass to Donte Whitner, who returned the ball back into the visitors' half.

They were unable to find the endzone at the start of the second quarter, but did manage to double their advantage as Cundiff kicked a 29-yard field goal.

That lead was soon wiped out, however, as the Buccaneers picked up the first touchdown of the evening, rookie Mike Evans latching on to a Glennon pass inside the endzone for a 24-yard score.

The Bucs had a great chance to move further ahead when Brian Hoyer saw his pass intercepted by Johnthan Banks, but moments later Tashaun Gipson won the ball back for his side with his sixth interception of the season, picking off Glennon's pass inside the endzone.

It was Tampa Bay who would score next, however, as Patrick Murray converted a 40-yard field goal to extend their lead to four points.

Cundiff responded with his third field goal of the evening as time expired to reduce the deficit back to one going into the interval, setting up an intriguing second half.
