The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed Michael Hill off the Green Bay Packers' practice squad to add depth to their running game.
The NFC South side are without starting running back Doug Martin for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury, while backup Mike James fractured his ankle during Monday's win over the Miami Dolphins.
The 24-year-old spent the off-season with the San Diego Chargers, but was waived as part of their final cuts at the end of August, before being signed to the Packers' practice squad.
Hill will sit behind Bobby Rainey and Brian Leonard on the team's depth chart.
