The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced that Rashaan Melvin has been placed on season-ending injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
The rookie cornerback missed the first five games of the season after tweaking his hamstring during training camp.
The 24-year-old was able to return to practice last week but suffered a setback, ending his first season in the NFL.
Melvin appeared in all of the Buccaneers' pre-season games, making three tackles.
