Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady remains coy over his future plans after the reigning Super Bowl champions lose Sunday's playoff to the Los Angeles Rams.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has once again stressed that he is in no rush to decide his future after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Super Bowl dreams were dashed in Sunday's playoff defeat to the Los Angeles Rams.

The reigning Super Bowl champions rallied to recover from a 20-3 deficit in the first two quarters to tie the contest 27-27 with less than a minute remaining, but Rams kicker Matt Gay sent his team to the NFC Championship with a 30-yard field goal.

Brady was inevitably questioned on his future following the playoff defeat, but the 44-year-old - who has one year left on his contract - has remained coy over his plans.

Speaking to the press after the game, Brady said: "I haven't put a lot of thought into it, so you know, we will just take it day by day and kind of see where we are at.

"I was thinking about winning. That's kind of my mentality - always to go out there and try to win. Give my teammates the best chance to win.

"Every team is really qualified when you get to the final eight, then the final four, then the final two and it doesn't feel good to lose any one of those games, and I have lost each of those stages.

"So at the end, there is only one team that is going to be happy. It feels good to move on when you move on, and obviously when you don't, whether it was last week or this week or next week, the week after, two weeks after that - if you are a loser in that game, it all sucks to lose in the end."

Brady completed 30 passes for 329 yards in the loss to the Rams, who will take on the San Francisco 49ers for a place in the Super Bowl against either the Cincinnati Bengals or the Kansas City Chiefs, the latter of whom overcame the Buffalo Bills in overtime on Sunday. body check tags ::
