Ryan Fitzpatrick threw three touchdown passes to lead the Houston Texans to a 24-0 lead over AFC South rivals the Tennessee Titans at half time in the NFL this evening.
Fitzpatrick returned as the Texans quarterback after Ryan Mallett was placed on season-ending injured reserve with a shoulder injury, and he made an immediate impact, finding tight end Ryan Griffin in the corner of the endzone.
The Houston defense also made a strong start, with Johnathan Joseph intercepting a Zach Mettenberger pass and returning it into Titans territory.
The home side quickly capitalised on the turnover, with Fitzpatrick tossing a short pass to Arian Foster for another touchdown.
Tennessee struggled to get going, with JJ Watt sacking Mettenberger to force a punt, allowing Fitzpatrick to find DeAndre Hopkins with a 58-yard throw just before the break.
