Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker is expected to be out for six weeks with a hip injury, according to a report.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury during his side's win over the New York Jets in the third quarter of their clash after being hit late by defensive end Quinton Coples.
Locker was carried from the field on a stretcher and was evaluated by the Titans' medical staff before being taken to hospital.
The quarterback said in a statement on the club's official website: "I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers over the last 24 hours.
"I am going to work as hard as I can to get back as soon as I can. I believe in this team and will do whatever I can to help us win in the meantime."
The Titans are 3-1 in their season after week four.
