Tennessee Titans president and CEO Tommy Smith has revealed that the team will be "active" in this year's free agency.
The market is due to open on March 11 and will give new head coach Ken Whisenhunt and general manager Ruston Webster their first chance to begin moulding a team of their own.
Smith has promised that he will give his backing to the duo and help them to get any player they want within their salary cap allowance.
"I've said before, we're going to be active. We were active last year, and where Ruston and Ken see the need and find the talent, we're going to go after it," Smith told 104.5 The Zone.
"So within our confines within the salary cap and so forth, we're going to be active."
The Titans finished last season with a 7-9 record, prompting them to part ways with Mike Munchak at the end of the campaign.
