Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden has insisted that Kirk Cousins remains his first-choice quarterback this season.
The Redskins fell to a 32-21 loss to the New York Giants on Thursday night, with Colt McCoy considered at one stage by Gruden.
"No. No. Kirk is fine, we just have to play better around him," Gruden told reporters.
"There is no quarterback controversy."
Cousins has struggled in recent times, having recorded 29 turnovers in his last 17 games and two interceptions or more in eight of his 17 starts.
