Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden reveals that the club have no intention of allowing quarterback Robert Griffin III to leave FedEx Field.

Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden has insisted that the club have no plans to let quarterback Robert Griffin III leave.

The NFC East side named Kirk Cousins as their starting signal-caller for the 2015 season in place of Griffin, who has struggled for fitness and form over the past two years.

However, Gruden has revealed that he is determined to keep the 25-year-old on his roster for the campaign to provide competition for Cousins.

"Yeah, I do [feel that RGIII will be on roster next week]," Gruden told reporters. "I like Robert as a quarterback. No doubt about it. His future is with the Washington Redskins.

"There's been no discussions about letting him go or doing any of that stuff. We're going to plan on playing with these three quarterbacks."

Griffin has thrown for 8,907 yards and 40 touchdowns to 23 interceptions in his three years in the NFL.
