Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden has confirmed that defensive coordinator Jim Haslett will continue in his role next season.
Haslett came under fire for the Redskins defense's performances in the 2013 campaign and even though former head coach Mike Shanahan was fired, the 58-year-old will keep his job.
"He has one year left on his contract," Gruden told the Washington Post. "I'll talk to [general manager] Bruce [Allen] and we'll talk to [Haslett] and see what we can do there. But definitely he'll be back next year as coordinator."
Haslett has been with the Redskins since the 2010 season.
