Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden has admitted that he is hoping for an improvement in the performances of DeSean Jackson during his team's final two games of the season.
The Redskins have long been out of playoff contention, but face two divisional clashes in their last matches, hosting both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys.
Jackson has endured a tough campaign since his move from the Eagles last summer, catching just one touchdown pass and failing to register for over 100 yards since his team's week nine bye.
Speaking on his player's form, Gruden told CSN: "I'm a 'what-have-you-done-for-me-lately' kind of guy and lately we haven't seen the DeSean we need to see.
"The last couple weeks he's been dealing with an injury, meaning he hasn't been quite the same, especially as teams are playing standard coverages to him."
Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III targeted Jackson eight times during the team's loss to the New York Giants on Sunday, but the wide receiver only made three completions.
