Washington Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan admits that his side could be open to trade offers for their first-round pick in the 2015 Draft.

Washington Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan has revealed that the club could trade their first-round pick in the 2015 Draft if defensive tackle Leonard Williams were to fall to the selection.

Williams is highly regarded as one of the best prospects available in the Draft, but the needs of the teams at the top of the selection process could push him down the order.

McCloughan believes that his side have enough quality at defensive tackle to pass on Williams, which would leave them open to trade offers.

"It might bring a trade more into play," he told reporters. "We do feel good about our defensive front."

The Redskins general manager has outlined his desire to selected a pass-rusher in the Draft to pair with Ryan Kerrigan following the departure of Brian Orakpo in free agency.

"A pass-rusher, that's the most important thing. They're hard to find," he added.

"We're very lucky to have Ryan [Kerrigan] on the team, he's one of those players, and hopefully not just in the first but throughout this draft we'll add more pass-rushers."

The Redskins used the option on the contract of quarterback Robert Griffin III to extend his deal until the end of the 2016 season.
