The Washington Redskins have dismissed reports that Robert Griffin III is involved in the team's search for a new head coach.
The NFC East side fired Mike Shanahan earlier this week after finishing the season with a 3-13 record and amid reports of a bust-up with the quarterback.
In an email to NBC Sports, team spokesman Tony Wyllie said that general manager Bruce Allen will not be speaking to Griffin about the appointment.
Backup quarterback Kirk Cousins claimed in an interview with ESPN earlier this week that his teammate would have input during the interview process.
