Robert Griffin III has reportedly been left "extremely angry" at being benched for the last three games of the season by the Washington Redskins.
Head coach Mike Shanahan has decided to rest the quarterback for the remainder of 2013 NFL season, with the Redskins already out of playoff contention.
NFL.com reports that the 2012 rookie of the year is not happy with the team's decision to start Kirk Cousins ahead of him this Sunday.
Griffin, who underwent knee ligament surgery earlier this year, has failed to match his performances from last season in 2013, throwing 12 interceptions and being sacked 38 times.
