England's Tiffany Porter admits that she is not 100% happy with her performance in the 100m hurdles final, but is pleased to have come away with the silver medal.

Team England's Tiffany Porter has said that it is "great" to have won a silver medal in the final of the 100m hurdles at the Commonwealth Games this evening.

Porter stormed home in a time of 12.80s at Hampden Park, crossing the line just 0.13s after Australian gold medallist Sally Pearson.

After the race, Porter admitted that she wasn't 100% happy with her performance, but was pleased overall to have come away with a medal from the Glasgow Games.

"It's definitely great to come away with a medal. You never take those for granted. So yeah, I'm just happy I was able to somewhat deliver when it mattered," she told Sports Mole.

"I go into every competition looking to win so I'd definitely be lying if I said that I'm absolutely over the moon because I do think I could have executed a better race but I'm just happy that I was able to come away with a medal today.

"I was at the best that I could... I did my best today pretty much. I did not execute a great race, which I'm disappointed about, but congratulations to Sally. Next time I'll just try to do better."

Porter was forced to wait until 10.10pm to race, but she insisted that performing so late did not make a difference to her.

"I don't really look at it like that. As professionals, we roll with the punches and just do whatever they give to us, so that didn't really affect me today," she added.

Angela White of Canada completed the podium with the bronze medal.
