Matthew Hudson-Smith powered England to Commonwealth Games gold in the 4x400m relay final, pipping Bahamas runner Chris Brown to the finish line in a thrilling finale at Hampden Park.
The 19-year-old dug deep into his reserves and held off the challenge of Brown over the final 30m to clock a winning time of 3:00.46, with the Bahamas coming in at 3:00.51.
The duo finished ahead of Zwede Hewitt for Trinidad and Tobago, who posted 3:01.51 to seal bronze.
The triumph marks a double celebration in the 4x400m relay as England's women took bronze earlier tonight.
Michael Bingham, Daniel Awde and Conrad Williams were also part of England's victorious team.
