The fastest Paralympian on the planet, Ireland's Jason Smyth, has admitted that competing in the Olympic Games remains an ambition.
Smyth, who stormed to gold in tonight's 200m final, said that he intends to keep improving so he can compete at the highest possible level.
"Yeah it definitely is [the best night of my life]," Smyth said. "Beijing was fantastic when I did the double. [However] coming back and doing it again was fantastic.
"It's continually part of my goals [to get to the Olympics]. I've got to the European Championship semi-finals, but it's about kicking on and I know the best is to come."
Smyth, who is 90% blind, runs in the T13 visually impaired class.
