Transport for London (TfL) has insisted that the capital will not be majorly affected by next year's summer Olympics.

To prove their point they photographed athletes in Bond Street in peculiar situations such as queueing for a bus.

"London will be busier than usual, just as it is during the festive period, but it will be very much open for business," said Mark Evers, Director of Games Transport at TfL.

"We've been working with businesses for many months now, and from early next year will start communicating directly with Londoners on how to avoid travel hotspots and make the most of all the Games have to offer.

"We're confident that Londoners and visitors to the city will join in the excitement of the biggest sporting event on the planet and enjoy a wealth of cultural events taking place all over the city."

Around 15 million journeys are expected to be made on London's public transport network during the busiest days of the Games.
