Dutch Paralympic sprinter Marlou van Rhijn hopes to better her times when she returns to London's Olympic Stadium for the Anniversary Games this weekend.

Dutch Paralympic sprinter Marlou van Rhijn has said that she aims to improve her speed when she competes in this Sunday's Anniversary Games in London.

The 23-year-old will be returning to the Olympic Stadium for the first time since winning gold in the T44 200m final at the London 2012 Olympics.

Ahead of the IPC World Championships in Doha, Van Rhijn is hopeful of bettering her second-place finish in the T44 100m.

"The Sainsbury's Anniversary Games will be my first time back in the stadium," said Van Rhijn. "It is very exciting and I can't wait to be back there and experience it again.

"My training and racing is going very well and this will be my last 100m race before the IPC Championships in Doha. I'm really hoping to at least come close to my fastest and keep improving towards Doha and the Rio 1016 Paralympics next year.

"I broke my 100m world record, which surprised me. It looks like I've kept on going in the same direction and hope to keep that up towards Doha and Rio."

The sprinter has two World Championship gold medals to her name, as well as four European titles.
