Los Angeles have reportedly opened talks with the United States Olympic Committee over taking up the 2024 Olympic bid from Boston.
The capital of Massachusetts withdrew their bid to host the Games after mayor Marty Walsh refused to sign a contract without receiving assurances that the city's residents would be protected.
This week, LA's mayor Eric Garcetti has confirmed that his city is interested in launching a bid for the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, and according to insidethegames.biz, informal talks have already begun.
San Francisco and Washington DC have also been approached about taking on the bid.
