Great Britain & Northern Ireland have finished top of the medal table at the European Athletics Championships with 12 gold medals by winning the final event, the women's 4x100m relay, in Zurich.
The quartet of Asha Philip, Ashleigh Nelson, Jodie Williams and Desiree Henry crossed the line in 42.25s - a new British record and the fastest time in Europe this season.
France were favourites for gold but could only finish in second, with Russia winning bronze.
Both Britain and France won 23 medals at the Championships, but the former's 12 golds eclipsed the nine of France to sit atop the medal table.
Just three of Russia's 22 medals were gold and they ended up in fourth place behind Germany, who won four golds.
