Former 400m hurdles world champion Dai Greene has criticised the scheduling at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The 28-year-old, who has also won European and Commonwealth gold, has discovered that the final of his event will be held at noon on August 18.
On Twitter, Greene wrote: "That is a joke! Makes some events appear less important. No 100m or 200m final at midday?
"Also there will be 128 athletes practicing for the 4x100relay heats. Try practicing your first three hurdles with that going on.
"It would be insulting enough for a three round event to have the semis in the morning, let alone the final."
The IAAF timetable has revealed that there is at least one final in all of the morning sessions of the athletics programme in Brazil.
