Team GB's Desiree Henry and Asha Philip have sealed their progress through to the semi-finals of the women's 100m in Rio but teammate Daryll Neita has missed out by two-hundredths of a second.
Henry was a comfortable qualifier with a time of 11.08s, which was good enough for fourth place overall from a field of 64 athletes. Philip, meanwhile, delivered a time of 11.34s for a 19th-place finish overall.
Neita was up in the final heat, at almost midnight local time, and finished fourth with a time of 11.41s after missing out on a full warm-up due to an issue with her athlete's bib.
That cost her a place in Saturday's semi-finals as she lost out to Ukraine's Olesya Povkh for the final fastest loser spot by 0.02s.
Elsewhere, reigning champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce qualified fastest with a time of 10.96s, while there were also assured places for Blessing Okagbare (11.16s) and Dafne Schippers (11.16s).
