Great Britain's Robbie Grabarz admits that he is just "happy" to be at the World Athletics Championships, despite failing to reach the final of the men's high jump.

Great Britain's Robbie Grabarz has decided to look at the positives after failing to reach the men's high jump final at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing.

The 27-year-old, who won Olympic bronze at London 2012 but has struggled with injuries since, could only clear 2.26m.

The athlete, who won gold in the high jump at the British Championships in July, needed 2.31m for automatic qualification to Sunday's final.

"I'm just happy to be here, I shouldn't be saying that, but I am," BBC Sport quotes Grabarz as saying. "Surgery was just a year ago, and my body feels great. I just need to get technically fit, which shouldn't be too difficult."

Great Britain have won three gold medals in Beijing so far.
