Jessica Ennis-Hill has maintained her lead at the top of the leaderboard in the heptathlon after the long jump at the World Athletics Championships.
The Olympic champion held the advantage going into the fifth event of the competition, with 4005 points, which put her narrowly ahead of Katarina Johnson-Thompson.
The 29-year-old recorded three legitimate jumps in the event to place third as her longest effort was 6.43m, leaving her in third place in the event.
Ennis-Hill extended her points tally to 4990, while Canada's Brianne Theisen-Eaton sits in second place on 4888 and Ukraine's Anastasiya Mokhnyuk is third on 4847. Johnson-Thomspon ended her medal hopes in the event as she recorded three fouls.
The javelin and 800m are the remaining two events in the competition.
