Phillips Idowu has said that he is "cool" with his silver medal at the world championships in Daegu, South Korea.
The triple-jumper lost his crown to American Christian Taylor, whose jump of 17.96m was further than anything the Brit had previously posted.
"There was no way I was going to feel down," said the 32-year-old.
"I'm going to take the medal I got. I spoke to my daughter, wished her happy birthday, told her I was coming home, everyone is happy at home. So I'm cool."
The Brit will now be looking towards the London 2012 Olympics to better his silver at the previous Games in Beijing.
