Former Olympic 400m champion Christine Ohuruogu has been named as the Great Britain team captain for the upcoming World Championships in Moscow.
The 29-year-old, who won a gold medal at the 2008 Games in Beijing, was handed the position by performance director Neil Black.
"I am very proud to have been asked by Neil to be the team captain," Sky Sports News quotes Ohuruogu as saying
"I am not normally someone who likes the spotlight, but this is a lovely feeling, to be trusted in this role."
Ohuruogu has enjoyed previous success at the World Championships, winning a gold medal in the 400m in Osaka in 2007.
