Phillips Idowu loses his world triple jump crown to American Christian Taylor, who records the fifth furthest jump of all-time.

Britain's Phillips Idowu has lost his world triple jump title from two years ago, taking silver behind American Christian Taylor.

The 32-year-old jumped a season's best 17.77m on his third jump before Taylor recorded a massive personal best.

His fourth jump of 17.96 is the fifth furthest of all-time.

Taylor's compatriot Will Claye took bronze with a personal best jump of 17.50.

Idowu's silver was Team GB's second medal of the Daegu championships' final day after Mo Farah won gold in the 5,000m in a pulsating race.
