Team Scotland duo Robert Blair and Imogen Bankier have claimed a bronze medal in the badminton mixed doubles at the Commonwealth Games.

The pair defeated Malaysia's Peng Soon Chan and Lai Pei Jing in straight sets at the Emirates Arena to clinch their first medals at the Games.

Blair and Bankier managed to edge their opponents out in a tight first set to win the game 21-17.

However, the second set was more straightforward as the Scottish duo displayed their class to ease to a 21-11 victory and win the bronze.
