The Houston Astros won the World Series for the second time after a 4-1 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 6 sealed a 4-2 series success.
The American League West champions rallied in an all-action sixth inning to seal their second-ever World Series title after winning their inaugural crown in 2017.
The Astros recovered from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits in the series, and victories in Game 4 and Game 5 saw the Texas-based side hold a 3-2 lead over the Phillies heading into Game 6.
Both teams went scoreless in the first five innings at Minute Maid Park, but Kyle Schwarber sent the Phillies ahead at the top of the sixth inning with a solo home run.
However, the Astros soon overcame that minor blip as Yordan Alvarez hit a three-run home run to put his side in the ascendancy, and Alex Bregman made it five for Dusty Baker's side after scoring from Christian Vazquez's RBI single.
In the ninth inning, pitcher Ryan Pressly ensured that the Phillies would go scoreless to clinch the World Series crown for the Astros, while Jeremy Pena was named the Finals MVP. body check tags ::
