Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge has ruled out a return for Rajon Rondo before the New Year.
The point guard has yet to play a single minute this season after sustaining a torn ACL last year.
"He's getting close but I don't see anything happening this month. We'll see how next month goes, week-by-week," he told the Sportshub.
Coach Brad Stevens has previously stated his belief that Rondo will most probably return in January too.
