Gordon Hayward has reportedly signed a four-year offer sheet from the Charlotte Hornets worth around $63m (£36.7m).
As a restricted free agent, the Utah Jazz will have three days to match the offer or allow the swingman to leave.
According to ESPN, the Jazz have indicated that they would be willing to match any offer that Hayward receives, but their pursuit of LeBron James could prevent them from offering the 24-year-old a max contract.
Hayward averaged 16.2 points in 77 games with the Jazz last season.
