Pau Gasol has praised Derrick Rose for his "effective" run of points late in the Chicago Bulls' win over the Denver Nuggets last night.
The point guard, who has struggled to find the basket in recent games, added 13 of his 17 points in the final quarter to prevent the visitors from edging in front late on.
His teammate told reporters: "It was important that he kind of broke off that slump. He was effective and got himself going and scored big in the fourth quarter, helped us win the game. I think it's really important to have that kind of ending, carry that momentum into the next game."
The Bulls are in action again tomorrow when they host the Boston Celtics.
