Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah has successfully undergone surgery to treat a lingering knee injury following his side's elimination from the playoffs.
Noah had previously reported knee pains as his side were knocked out of the postseason games by the Washington Wizards, with the All-star player now having been treated to resolve the issue.
"The Chicago Bulls announced today that center Joakim Noah successfully underwent minor arthroscopic surgery to clean out his left knee," read a statement on the team's official website.
"The procedure was performed at Rush Oak Park Hospital by Chicago Bulls head team physician Dr. Brian Cole. He is expected to rehab his left knee during the offseason for the next eight to 12 weeks."
The Bulls lost their first-round playoff encounter with the Wizards by four games to one.
