Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose has insisted that he believes the franchise can win a championship in the coming years.
Having played in just 10 games over the past two seasons, the 25-year-old returned to competitive action this summer at the FIBA World Cup in Spain.
However, speaking at the Bulls' media day on Monday, he switched his focus to the NBA and is confident that the team around him is capable of winning a championship.
"I try my hardest to stay away from [the predictions]," Rose told reporters.
"But we know we have an opportunity ahead of us. It may not be this year, it may not be the next year or whatever, but I know that we have one (in us). I know I'm going to win a championship soon so I'm not worried about that."
The Bulls have added Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic this summer, with Rose insisting that the former will particularly help take them to the next level.
