The Cleveland Cavaliers are nearing a deal to sign veteran forward Richard Jefferson, according to a report.
The 35-year-old is available on the free-agent market after he was allowed to leave the Dallas Mavericks at the end of the 2014-15 season.
The Mavericks moved to re-sign Jefferson, but he has opted against rejoining Rick Carlisle's men to sign a one-year contract with the Cavaliers, according to ESPN.
Jefferson averaged 5.8 points per game for Dallas last season.
