The Dallas Mavericks will be without Chandler Parsons and Wesley Matthews for the start of their training camp.
Parsons sustained a knee injury in the playoffs, and although an MRI revealed no structural damage, he still underwent surgery during the off-season.
Matthews tore his Achilles while he was with the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this year, but it did not stop the Mavericks from signing the guard to a four-year deal.
However, both he and Parsons will miss training camp but are expected to be fit for their season opener.
"They are on track, but there's no reason to rush anyone," owner Mark Cuban told reporters. "We have a full squad of 20 people precisely because we knew that our vets would see limited pre-season action."
Dallas open their season against the Phoenix Suns on October 28.
