Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Friday's games in the NBA.

The Cleveland Cavaliers picked up their second win of the season as LeBron James led the team to victory over the Denver Nuggets in the NBA.

The four-time league MVP finished with 22 points and 11 assists as the Cavaliers opened up a big lead early on, which the Nuggets could not come back from.

Randy Foye tried to get the hosts back into the game in the fourth quarter, but Cleveland's early dominance left the Nuggets with too much to do.

The Chicago Bulls held off a late charge from the Philadelphia 76ers to leave their opponents without a win so far this season.

After heading into half time level, Mike Dunleavy led the Bulls as they dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Sixers 35-19 to leave them 16 points clear heading into the fourth quarter.

Tony Wroten was the top scorer for Philadelphia, and tried to give them some hope in the fourth quarter, but the fightback fell short, leaving the home side 0-6 this season.

The Brooklyn Nets eased to a win over city rivals the New York Knicks, who are now without a win in their last three outings.

The Nets looked the stronger from the start, opening up a 10-point advantage by the end of the first quarter, led by Deron Williams.

Carmelo Anthony helped cut the lead in the fourth quarter, but Williams's 29-point spell ensured that Brooklyn already had the win sealed.

The Memphis Grizzlies secured a narrow win over the Oklahoma City Thunder to extend their unbeaten start to the season.

It looked like the visitors were heading for their first defeat of the campaign, but Mike Conley added a three-pointer inside the final 40 seconds to put Memphis in front, while a late foul denied the hosts the chance to hit back.

The Charlotte Hornets needed double overtime to clinch a win over the Atlanta Hawks, leaving the visitors without a victory away from home this season.

The Hornets had to fight back in the fourth quarter to force the game into overtime, but were unable to maintain their scoring run at start of the extra spell.

However, Lance Stephenson added a three-pointer with just over two seconds remaining on the clock to edge the hosts to the win.

There was also double overtime in the game between the Phoenix Suns and the Sacramento Kings, with the latter coming out on top.

Sacramento needed to dominate the fourth quarter to give themselves a chance, wiping out the Suns' 11-point lead in the last 12 minutes to force overtime.

Although he was carrying an injury, Rudy Gay managed to make a jump shot late in the second overtime period to give the visitors the win.

The Dallas Mavericks moved to 4-2 after cruising to a comfortable win over the Utah Jazz at the EnergySolutions Arena.

Dirk Nowitzki looked sharp from the start, but the home side were still in touch at the break, just eight points down, but an error-strewn second half allowed the Mavericks to surge ahead.

Jeff Green added a string of late points to give the Boston Celtics a narrow win over the Indiana Pacers.

Avery Bradley cut the Celtics' lead to just a single point with six seconds on the clock, but Green drew a foul before adding two free throws in the final moments to put the result beyond doubt.

The Orlando Magic made it back-to-back wins, dominating overtime to clinch a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Neither side opened up a commanding lead in regulation, but the Timberwolves lost Ricky Rubio to an ankle injury late on, leaving them short going into overtime.

Rookie forward Aaron Gordon led the scoring in overtime for Orlando, adding six of his 17 points in a decisive spell at the start of the additional period.

The Toronto Raptors thrashed the Washington Wizards to maintain their unbeaten home record so far this season.

DeMar DeRozan led the scoring as the Canadian side cruised to their fifth win of the season, while Kyle Lowry, Terrence Ross and Lou Williams all reached double figures as well.

The Detroit Pistons recorded their second win of the season, edging to a narrow victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Josh Smith scored from a rebound after Kentavious Caldwell-Pope missed a late shot, leaving the Pistons four points up, before winning the ball back from Brandon Knight to prevent the Bucks from responding.

Result in full: Atlanta Hawks 119-122 Charlotte Hornets, Minnesota Timberwolves 103-112 Orlando Magic, Chicago Bulls 118-115 Philadelphia 76ers, Indiana Pacers 98-101 Boston Celtics, New York Knicks 99-110 Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks 95-98 Detroit Pistons, Washington Wizards 84-103 Toronto Raptors, Memphis Grizzlies 91-89 Oklahoma City Thunder, Sacramento Kings 114-112 Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks 105-82 Utah Jazz, Cleveland Cavaliers 110-101 Denver Nuggets
